💔 Surrender Story
Harry has been deeply loved by his family for approximately 4 years. Unfortunately, Harry is a sensitive dog and recent changes have made life increasingly difficult for him. The family moved to a busy town centre, where constant traffic and loud noises frighten him, while unpredictable behaviour and noise from a young child with additional needs has also caused him significant stress.
Recently Harry gave several warning growls when uncomfortable. When the child suddenly lunged towards the floor in front of him, he reacted and snapped near the face. There is no reported bite history. His family have made the heartbreaking decision that he needs a more suitable home and he really struggles in a busy urban environment, perfectly balanced, happy and patient in previous environment, now became anxious and worrying. It’s not fare for little sweet boy, who just need the world to be little calmer.
🐾 More About Harry
Harry isn't a dog who wants to spend his life hiding from the world — quite the opposite! He is playful, funny, affectionate and loves doing things with his people. 🎾❤️ He loves tennis balls and teddies, enjoys training and knows sit, stay, leave, spin and paw. He has excellent recall and is very eager to please.
He enjoys walks and doesn't pull, but busy main roads and heavy traffic frighten him. Give him quieter walking routes and he is much happier. Harry also lived peacefully with a female dog for almost 4 years, so a friendly, settled canine companion could be a lovely match.
🏡 Ideal Foster Home
Harry doesn't need a silent house where nothing ever happens! He needs a calm and predictable one. We are looking for someone who can offer him plenty of play, cuddles and companionship, ideally in a quieter semi-rural or rural location away from busy roads.

Harry doesn't like crates.
💞 Harry's owner says she has “so much more to say about Harry” because it is difficult to fit everything wonderful about him into one message.
He is a cuddler, a player, a clever student and a deeply loving companion. He doesn't need his whole world to be quiet — he needs it to feel safe and predictable enough that he can enjoy being Harry again. Right now, we urgently need someone to give him that chance. 💙🙏
🩺 Health Information
Harry is neutered, microchipped and has no known medical conditions. Veterinary records are available. His vaccinations are not currently up to date and will need updating. He is particularly frightened by nail clipping, so this is normally done by the vet with calming medication beforehand. He currently receives hemp calming supplements having difficulties to settle in a busy urban environment.
