He might be nervous when you first meet him, but please don't mistake his shyness for anything other than a boy who needs a little patience and understanding. ❤️ One of the most important things to know about Dodo is just how much confidence he gains from other dogs. 🐕 He absolutely loves them, enjoying their company, following their lead and playing alongside them. Having a confident canine companion in his forever home is essential for Dodo, as another dog will help him feel safe and show him that the world isn't such a scary place after all. He's already doing well in foster. He's toilet trained, can be left alone for up to four hours without any problems, isn't destructive and sleeps peacefully throughout the night. He's happy walking in fields, although traffic and passing cars are frightening for him, so he'll need a patient adopter who can continue helping him build his confidence at his own pace. Dodo hasn't travelled in a car yet because he's still finding the world a little overwhelming, but his foster is working gently on this with him. 🐾 What sort of home does Dodo need? 💙 A patient, understanding home that will give him time to settle. 🐕 Another friendly resident dog to help him feel safe and build his confidence. 🏡 A calm, reassuring environment where he can learn that life can be wonderful. ❤️ Someone who understands that trust takes time, but that the rewards are worth it. 🐱 Dodo can live with cats. 👧 Older dog savvy children that understand he'll make the best friend when he's ready. Dodo hasn't had the easiest time finding his feet in the world, but he has such a lovely temperament. He doesn't need someone to change who he is. He needs someone to give him the time, love and security to discover who he can become. Imagine being the person he finally feels safe enough to run to, the person he looks to when something worries him, and the person who helps him discover all the wonderful things life has to offer.
