Description
đ¶A little bit about Roy:
Roy is my pure bred blue merle border collie. He's a huge softie and has a really lovely temperament, brilliant with other dogs, animals, livestock and people. Roys a very well rounded boy and is used to very busy environments, we go on buses/trains/cars/ferries, been to cities all over and done all sorts with him, he always behaves himself and takes it all in his stride, doesn't find it overwhelming. He's also a great pub dog and loves to have a cheeky nap after a big hike! He loves going to the beach, camping trips, doing peaks and exploring on big hikes with us, great with other dogs, absolutely no bother with other males (even if they kick off at him.) No neorotic collie behaviours whatsoever.
Work wise Roy has a great work drive and will happily work all day on the farm and do anything asked of him and use his own initiative too. He's not got excessive eye, keeps the sheep moving nicely and will stand up to anything, amazing in lambing time, in the pens and up the moor and got a great off switch. He's got typical collie brains and trainability and I like to do all sorts with him, he knows lots of tricks and obedience. He's nice and calm in the house, he's never been any bother even when he was a puppy.
đ¶Roys offspring and genetics:
I bred Roy myself and I have his mum, Peggy who is my service dog and she also works sheep. He has a long line of working border collies on both sides and his dad is ISDS/KC registered red and white dog Crambeck Marley. Roys offspring are getting a great balance of working ability and pet suitability, they would all make fantastic working dogs, whether it was farm work, service dog work, scent work or in active pet homes as extremely loyal companions. Pictures of his recent litters at the end of his photos, all happy and healthy pups with lovely temperaments.
Roy carries genes for long hair (2 copies)
Tan points (2 copies)
Red/liver gene (1 copy)
Dominant black (1 copy)
Recessive non black (1 copy)
Merle gene (1 copy)
Recessive non merle (1 copy)
Always get really lovely colours in his litters, tri coloured, red merles, blue merles and classic black and white đ
âIMPORTANT PLEASE READâ
All health tests are clear, happy to show these on request, he is a carrier for cia (collie eye anomaly) which doesn't effect him or any pups, but does mean he will have to go to bitches who are tested clear - his eyesight and his parents/grandparents eyesight is completely normal.
Good tempered and healthy bitches only, most breeds welcome, no merles or cryptic merles as this leads to double merle puppies.
Price covers upto 3 matings, you come to us. I highly recommend doing a progesterone test if you are unsure of how many days into her season your dog is to avoid disappointment. No timewasters and daydreamers please! If you are serious then I require a ÂŁ50 deposit for my time when arranging a date due to too people not turning up or messaging to cancel if things have changed. The remaining ÂŁ150 is payable on arrival. The ÂŁ200 stud fee is non negotiable, if you cant afford it then kindly don't message me, thanks â
And finally, please do your research first!! Having puppies is harder and more expensive and risky than people realise, so please put in the time to do proper research, preparation and relevant health tests. I recommend buying "the book of the bitch" before even considering breeding if you have no prior experience.
