Meet Jake – Looking for a Special Indoor Home
Jake came into our care after being attacked, leaving him with a serious ear injury.
He was also heavily matted and required a significant amount of his fur to be clipped away.
We estimate that Jake is around 6 years old, although we cannot be certain of his exact age.
Jake has received extensive veterinary treatment and has made fantastic progress.
Jake as been blood tested which confirmed he is negative for FIV and other common infectious diseases

Received treatment for all of his injuries
Jake's injuries have healed very well, and his fur is slowly growing back.
It will take some time before his coat returns to its former glory, but he is well on the road to recovery.
we will happily share his full veterinary history and treatment notes with his adopter.
Now recovered, Jake is searching for a very special home with an experienced cat owner who understands that he still has some challenges to overcome.
He can be wary of new people and prefers affection on his own terms.
Once he feels comfortable,
he enjoys being stroked, loves relaxing in his cosy cat bed or stretched out on the sofa, and is very food-motivated. He also enjoys being brushed, although he will let you know when he has had enough!
Jake has excellent litter tray manners,
Due to his behaviour around dogs, Jake cannot live with dogs and must be an indoor-only cat.
He becomes highly reactive towards dogs, and for both his safety and the safety of others, a secure indoor home is essential.
He is also not suitable to live with young children.
Jake can show signs of anxiety when left alone and will need a patient, understanding adopter who is prepared to give him the time he needs to settle, build trust, and feel secure.
He has a strong personality
