Shayla’s life almost ended before it truly began. She was found as a tiny puppy, abandoned at the side of the road together with her siblings—left there to die. Cold, hungry, and helpless, the puppies huddled together, crying softly as cars passed by, unnoticed. They had no mother to protect them, no food to quiet the pain in their little stomachs, and no understanding of why they had been discarded.
Some of her siblings were too weak to survive. Shayla lived—by sheer will and a small miracle of timing. Rescued just in time, she was given warmth, milk, and gentle hands that showed her the world could be kind. Today, Shayla carries the memory of those early days, but she chooses joy. Her eyes shine with hope, and her heart is still wide open. 🤍
