Description
Introduction
Hi!
I have both male and female rats ready for a new home. Most are white and of varying ages.
All rats are friendly with both humans and other rats. No issues of hormonal aggression and they are all healthy. I feed the rats with treats from my hand and they politely line up and take a chocolate chip gently.

Bonding
While all rats are friendly, more work will need to be done when it comes to handling. I've been gentle with them and going at their own pace, not forcing it. However due to their being so many, I haven't been able to commit as much time as I'd like in getting them used to handling.
My focus has been on ensuring their wellbeing and that they are properly fed and have constant positive engagement with humans, sadly none have chosen to go on my hand and it's hard to tame each one with the time they need.
Therefore, I'd recccomend a bonding pouch (hoodie or one from Etsy) to get them used to being handled.

Purchasing requirements
I can provide a carrier for £10 extra, which is the price it cost me to purchase it.
I will not sell the rats for feeding purposes. All rats to go to a loving home. Evidence of a cage is required.
The price is not pet rat, but for as many as you would like. The price is mostly there to stop people buying them for feeding purposes.

Rats I can't sell
The photos include baby rats that aren't fully weaned yet so I will be unable to re-home them until they're older, as per guidelines on selling rats and to ensure they grow and develop properly.
I also have pregnant rats which I am unable to sell until they give birth and are able to raise their litter.

About me
I am not a breeder, my two male rats found a female during free roam and all of a sudden, I had a bunch of rats in my room. Most were taken outside (as they were half wild) but some were too young so I kept them and all of a sudden, I had a bunch more rats! I have now managed to separate them into male and female and they're looking for a new home. This means the rats are 1/4ish wild but have grown up in a cage with regular human contact.

Feeding
Their favourite foods include:
• Frozen peas in water (pea fishing)
• Frozen sweetcorn in water
• Cornflakes
• Dried mealworms
• Hard boiled eggs
• Tinned sardines (boneless with liquid removed)
• Chocolate chips
They have so far mostly been fed with selective science pellets.
