Description
We are looking for a very special home for our girl so please READ FULLY before applying!
Pixie was rescued from a feral colony with the worst coat imaginable, we had never seen matting like it… despite this she was accepting of being handled & not aggressive in any way so we made the decision to keep her in our care rather than return her to her outside life. We were concerned she would end up matted again and felt this old lady needed a safe, cosy home.
Pixie had a dental procedure to remove the rest of her rotten/broken teeth as well as a huge de-mat; then she was ready to be moved to one of our experienced fosters. She has made wonderful progress whilst in her foster home but she is keen to be back outside sometimes and is not enjoying her time contained as an indoor cat.
As Pixie is very used to being outside & doing her own thing, we are looking for an experienced home who can accommodate her independent nature. Once she has settled Pixie will need to be able to come and go as she pleases with a family who will respect her need to do things on her terms; we know she may never be a ‘lap cat’, but she still loves her people, and we are sure with time her confidence will continue to grow.
Pixie has enjoyed having other cats in her foster home and would do well with other indoor/outdoor cats. As we don’t know more about Pixie’s history we feel a home without dogs or children would suit her best in her retirement. Our vets estimate her age to be 10 years+. She is neutered, fully vaccinated & in foster in Bootle.
We are very keen to find Pixie a suitable forever home as soon as possible so that she can be more comfortable, for this reason we would consider waiving her adoption fee for the right applicant.
