Description
Are you looking for a dog that is still young enough that you'll get that all important bond, but you don't have the trouble of going through the puppy stage? This is Offa, and she's been trained specifically for this purpose.
Not only will she fit into a family environment, but for anyone wishing to do gundog training with their spaniel, Offa is the perfect candidate. She has been trained to advanced level and is ready for someone to really enjoy a partnership with.
Offa is a puppy I kept back with the intention of finding her a home at a later date once she had been professionally trained and all the foundations had been put in correctly. This means she hasn't learnt bad habits or developed behavioural problems due to lack of time or any other reason why a slightly older dog usually comes up for 'sale'.
Offa has grown up in a countryside setting with the freedom to explore and play in a way a young dog should. She travels well in the car, has had trips into town and been well socialised with other dogs.
Offa walks calmly on the lead, without pulling. She has very good recall and will sit and stay patiently. She has been crate trained and has lived indoors with me.
Offa's health tested parents have a very strong pedigree and plenty of accolades to their name. Her mother is an Open Field Trial winner and her father is a Field Trial Champion - the best possible award at competitions. These strong attributes have been passed down - Offa is full of heart, character and general willingness to please.
She has covered all types of gundog training so retrieves the dummy and brings it back to your hand without dropping it. She also takes direction onto dummies, hunts nicely for a ball or scent and stops to the whistle. These are all good exercises to keep a working dog stimulated and focused even as an active family companion.
She is microchipped, legally docked (left long enough that she still has a happy waggy tail), KC registered and vaccinated. No expense has been spared with her quality of food - shown by her rich, dark brown and shiny coat.
A lesson and advice will be given on collection to ensure that the transition into Offa's new home is a smooth one.
