Description
Tref is a small Papillon. Weighs only 4 kg and is the size of a small cat. He is very attached to his person and will follow you everywhere. Sometimes it may seem as though he is asleep, but he is still keeping an eye on you. He is happiest when he is close to his owner. Whether it is sitting beside you on the sofa, following you around the house, or even going to the bathroom — you will never be alone! He will happily wait for you in the bathroom.
He absolutely loves going for walks. He is leash-trained and is fully house-trained, going to the toilet only outside. I don’t think having access to a garden alone would be enough for him, because when he is outside, he enjoys exploring all the different smells and marking every tree. All of this gives him mental stimulation and keeps his brain active.
You may ask, why am I looking for a new family for Tref?
Unfortunately, I do not have my own home. Finding rental accommodation that allows dogs has been very difficult.
Tref has a pedigree, health certificates, DNA tests, a passport with all his vaccinations, a microchip, and even several awards that he has won at dog shows.
His ideal home would be without young children, or with children over the age of 10. He may sometimes snap or growl at very young children, but this is not because he is aggressive or bad. It is a defensive reaction — he is simply frightened.
Tref loves sleeping and lying on comfortable surfaces — on a chair, an armchair or the sofa. Please allow him to do this. He also loves sleeping on the bed with me.
Moving to a new home will not be easy for him. It may take him a few days, or possibly even a month, to understand that his new surroundings are now his new home. But once he settles in and feels safe, he will behave very well.
When we are outside, Tref will usually approach other dogs because he wants to say hello. If you see that another dog is very large or appears aggressive, please calmly and carefully take Tref away and keep him safe.
He does not need you to be at home with him all the time, but being left alone for most of the day on a regular basis would not be suitable for him. To a dog, a day can feel like an eternity. If you only come home to sleep, he will be very sad. Ideally, there should be someone around at home for at least part of the day.
By the way, he does not bark at home.
Tref is also a lovely male with a good temperament and breeding qualities. We have had several successful matings with him here in England, and I can confirm that he produces very beautiful puppies.
Once he learns to trust you, an incredibly strong bond will develop between you. I would also really love for his new family to love him with all their heart.
If you feel that you could give Tref a loving, permanent home, don't hesitate to get in touch with me. Tell me a little about your housing conditions and family circumstances and explain why you feel that you would be the right family for him.
Most of all, I am looking for someone who will truly love Tref and consider him a member of the family for the rest of his life. ❤️
