We have had our labradoodle for 3 years and he came from the breeder. He has been neutered. He is affectionate and mostly obedient. However he has nipped my son on a number of occasions and does growl at him at times, my son can be unpredictable and struggles to retain information about how to be dog savvy, I do believe sensible older children would be ok. He does not get on with cats, but generally seems ok with other dogs, we have another dog who he gets on with, though sometimes he does not get on with certain dogs when they pass on walks. He does not like the vets and had to have a sedative for his recent vaccinations. He has not spent a lot of time with men and I do think a female home would be better. We love him to bits but cannot continue with the nipping, additionally I have child care in the home from a family member who does not feel she can continue with the current situation.
