Pancake is on the look out for a strict but compassionate coach to help him through his weight loss journey. He can be a little worried by the world and leans on his people for comfort and reassurance, forming a beautiful bond with those who take the time to give his chin a tickle and sit with him a while. At 7-years old, Pancake arrived with us weighing 9kg but was off his food and with some signs of laboured breathing. We believe a virus had affected his sense of smell and appetite and a short course of meds had him feeling much better. Since then, he has been vaccinated and shown no further signs of illness though this history may have an impact on insurance payouts. Therefore, potential adopters should do their own research before committing to taking him home. Pancake is looking for a home committed to continuing his diet and helping his confidence grow as his waistline decreases. He has been losing a steady amount of weight whilst in foster simply by his daily meals being weighed. He is, though, a big cat and will likely be around 6-7kg at his ideal weight. Full details of the diet plan can be discussed with potential adopters. Pancake is in foster in Southport and has been neutered chipped, parasite treated and has had his first vaccination. As a shy lad and due to his diet requirements, Pancake would be best suited to a home without other pets.
