Description
Meet Barney, a handsome tricolour boy with the classic Cavalier face: tan eyebrows, wavy ears, a glossy black coat and four white socks. He even has matching tan freckles on both knees. Most Cava Tzus take after the Shih Tzu side, so a Cavalier-looking boy like him is a bit special.
✔ Born 10th August 2026, ready to go now
✔ First vaccination done (card provided)
✔ Microchipped and registered on PETtrac, transferred to you on collection
✔ Vet checked on 20th October: heart, eyes, ears and teeth all clear. Strong little heartbeat, healthy boy
✔ Pad trained, with video proof. He's tidier than some people I've lived with
✔ Confident, playful, follows me everywhere and already comes when called
✔ Great with other dogs
Dad is Boo, my Shih Tzu, who you're welcome to meet. Mum is Missy, a Blenheim Cavalier. These are much-loved family pets, not a breeding business. Most of Barney's older brothers and sisters stayed with family and friends, and you can see some of them all grown up in the photos. We keep in contact with all but one of his siblings' new owners, and they still send us photos and are happy to chat to you.
Barney was the biggest and strongest of his litter, with proper big paws to grow into. I honestly think he's the best-looking pup these two have had.
He's currently called Barney, but he's young enough to learn a new name easily.
(Photos include Barney's grown-up brothers Michael, Otis, Basil, Rufus and Teddy Bear. The group photo shows pups from earlier litters, not Barney's.)
Happy to do live video calls so you can see him playing. Free delivery to London and the South East.

Pros
Exceptionally gentle, calm temperament — one of the sweetest-natured small companion crosses
Rarely barks, making it well suited to flat and apartment living
Warm and adaptable — suits a wide range of owners from families to seniors
Low exercise requirements and calm indoor demeanour make it a practical companion
Cons
Cavalier King Charles Spaniel parent carries serious hereditary heart and neurological conditions requiring rigorous health testing before purchase
Shih Tzu heritage introduces potential brachycephalic airway issues that affect breathing in heat or exertion
Coat requires regular brushing and professional grooming to prevent matting
Prone to separation anxiety; does not suit owners who are regularly absent from home
