Description

Not all adoption stories are tragic. Eve and boba are such cases as they both come from homes where they are very much loved. However unfortunately due to unforeseen difficulties in changing circumstances they have come through to me and are looking for a new family that would be their forever home and be able to prioritise them. Eve is a gorgeous British Shorthair girl, whilst her daughter Boba, is a beautiful grey domestic longhair with British Shorthair heritage. Eve is the quieter and more reserved of the two. She’s a little shy, particularly around unfamiliar people, and enjoys her independence, though that certainly doesn’t mean she isn’t affectionate. She enjoys gentle strokes, playing with her family, and spending time around people, often settling somewhere cosy nearby. She’s not particularly fond of being picked up or brushed, and prefers affection on her own terms. She’s also quite happy entertaining herself, making use of her scratching post or heading outside for a little wander before returning to the comforts of home. Boba, on the other hand, is the more curious and energetic of the pair! She’s a friendly, playful girl who enjoys cuddles, being picked up, groomed and generally getting involved in whatever is happening around her. She loves interactive play, particularly anything involving strings, and is much more adventurous than her mother. Whilst Eve is content with a quick stroll outdoors, Boba enjoys spending a little longer exploring before coming home to eat, relax. Both girls have grown up in a family environment with young children and are accustomed to the activity and everyday noises of a busy household. They are playful with the children and have never been reported to display any significant behavioural difficulties. Eve can scratch if picked up unexpectedly or handled in a way she dislikes, so we’d particularly appreciate a family who understands feline body language and respects their individual boundaries. They’re also quite shy and take time to become accustomed to a new environment so they need a family that understands and can be patient with them as they settle. The girls have been together since Boba was born. They regularly seek each other out, play, chase one another around the house and enjoy one another’s company. Their family describes them as very connected, and neither has ever been separated from the other. Because of this, we would really love to find them a home together, where they can continue sharing the companionship they’ve always known. Unfortunately, due to changes in their family’s personal circumstances, their current owners are finding it increasingly difficult to give the girls the time and care they deserve. This has been a difficult decision for their family, but they would love to see Eve and Boba settled into a permanent, loving home where they can continue to thrive and thereby reached out to me to help vet suitable homes. We’re ideally looking for a loving, stable home where Eve and Boba can remain together. They would suit a family or individual willing to give Eve the space to settle at her own pace, whilst providing Boba with plenty of opportunities for interaction and play. They are looking for a house or ground-floor flat with safe and secure outdoor access, as both girls are accustomed to spending some time outside, though the majority of their time is spent indoors. Any potential home will be considered with their individual welfare and existing routines in mind. Direct adoption: The girls are currently staying with their original family whilst we assist with finding them a suitable new home. All prospective adopters will undergo a suitability assessment, and their veterinary documentation and microchip details will be transferred as part of the adoption process. If you think you could offer Eve and Boba the loving forever home they’re looking for, please don’t hesitate to get in touch through a direct message and I’ll send you an adoption form to get the process started with! We will be happy to arrange in-person viewings, and explain the process, and once agreed upon, necessary documentations signed. I’ll be transporting them to their forever family’s door on adoption day. The adoption fee ensures commitment and helps support the independent rescuing work we undertake and will be going towards more rescues (I’m an independent rescuer doing this out of my own home). All fees and their purpose will be agreed with the current owners and disclosed to adopters. Our priority is finding a responsible, committed family who can provide both girls with a safe and happy future.
