Description
This is Winnie the show type cocker spaniel. She is a beautiful girl with lots of affection to give to one person only. We took Winnie on a few weeks ago and the breeder told us she was good with kids, dogs, people and cats. Unfortunately we were completely lied to on this basis.
I am not looking to put Winnie's issues onto anyone else without being completely honest.
Winnie will click with one person and one person only - this is usually a woman. She is extremely attached to myself as I am her. She has been here around 3 weeks now and she has been somewhat tolerable with my almost 3 year old however today has decided to snap at him. She has lived with my partner the whole time also, and has also bitten him. This is why it is important that Winnie goes to a home where it's only 1 person looking for a best friend.
Winnie was not toilet trained - she is now almost 90% there and has been taught how to sit. She has also been getting used to being in her crate over night.
Winnie does not cope well being left alone, she will howl and bark.
Winnie can have issues resource guarding when there are other people in the house.
Winnie does get along well with cats and some dogs also if they respect her space.
I have wormed and flea'd Winnie, she has also had a bath and a bit of a trim due to her fur being in atrocious condition when we collected her.
Winnie was born with a deformed tail but this does not affect her in anyway apart from her not being able to move it. If you are serious about Winnie, I will discuss with pics of this. I've also found that keeping her on a raw diet is best for her.
This is extremely heartbreaking and hard for myself to do, I just know that she will thrive elsewhere with just 1-1. She would suit a lady that lives alone that is willing to give her all the love and affection she deserves.
The fee is to ensure she is going to a safe, loving and perfect home where she will be treated like the bouncy, playful, loving pup she is. I will be thorough with potential new owners so do be prepared for this.
