Description

Meet Trixie and Smokey – a bonded pair looking for a home together Trixie: female, 18 months · Smokey: male, 5 months · Fostered in Hammersmith Trixie and Smokey may not be related, but they share a very special bond. When Smokey arrived, Trixie took him under her paw, and they have been inseparable ever since. We’re looking for one loving, caring home where they can continue their life together. Trixie has three paws, which we believe she was born with, but this doesn’t stop her enjoying life. She is healthy and gets around well, as does Smokey. We’d be very happy to explain more about Trixie’s history and how she manages day to day. They are looking for a quiet home without children or other pets, with safe outdoor access once they have settled in. If you have the right environment for two cats, please apply. We’d love to tell you more about their individual personalities and arrange a meeting. Before adoption, we’ll give you their individual vet and treatment information, including when they were last flea treated and wormed and whether they have been microchipped and neutered. Penny Paws neuters cats aged five months or weighing at least 2 kilos before adoption wherever possible. If a rescue kitten falls below the age or weight our vets require in order to neuter, adopters will need to arrange this when the kitten is ready. Penny Paws is funded entirely by adoption fees and donations, which help cover food, litter, treatments and veterinary care across our foster homes. We’re unable to routinely fund vaccinations, so the adopter will need to arrange these with their own vet. Many vets offer monthly health plans to help spread the cost of routine care. A £50 deposit per cat is required to reserve Trixie and Smokey. Both deposits will be deducted from their total adoption fee, with the remaining balance payable on or before collection. They can be collected from their foster home in Hammersmith. If collecting from my home in Hook, Hampshire, would be easier, I can usually arrange for a volunteer to bring them there. The deposits help cover fuel costs and avoid moving the cats unnecessarily.
