Description
Meet sweet Marie...
Marie is a soft-hearted, five-year-old Persian beauty who has overcome more than most cats ever should. When she was rescued just over a year ago, she was heartbreakingly frail. Severely underweight, battling painful dental disease, and suffering from an untreated eye infection that made even seeing difficult. She wouldn’t have survived much longer.
Thanks to one of our compassionate rescuers, Marie received urgent veterinary care, followed by dental surgery and a delicate eye procedure to remove a damaged tear duct. Though her microchip showed she once belonged to someone, no owner could ever be traced. So Marie started fresh - and she has blossomed ever since.
Today, Marie is the picture of sweetness. She’s calm, loving, endlessly gentle, and patient enough to be wonderful with children. She gets along beautifully with other cats and has even become a little “foster auntie,” offering comfort to new rescues as they settle in.
Now, all she needs is a forever home that will cherish her, protect her, and give her the soft, peaceful life she so deeply deserves. Marie is great with other cats and is good with animal-friendly children too.
Due to the removal of the damaged tear duct, Marie needs daily eye drops to keep her left eye moist.
Marie is:

If you can offer Marie a loving happy ever-after, please get in touch today! We will send you a link to complete our online pre-adoption form and we will also require a home video check as part of our process. If you have any questions, please reach out and one of our small team of volunteers will get back to you as soon as possible.
Please note: Every Cat Matters is an indoor-only rescue. This means all our cats should be kept in a safe, enriching indoor environment, unless they have access to a secure cat-proof garden, catio, or netted balcony.
We believe cats can live full, happy lives without free roaming outdoors. Keeping them safe indoors protects them from road accidents, injuries, contagious illnesses, and territorial fights - while also helping to preserve local wildlife. With love, enrichment, and security, indoor cats truly thrive and live their longest lives.
