Description

A healthy, cheerful and friendly hand-tame cockatiel who loves wolf whistles, laughing, and singing the theme song from the children's film Totoro. He is also always up for a cuddle, a nibble of cheddar cheese or hard boiled egg white, and a neck rub. He is used to going into a harness, and likes to go for walks with us in nice weather, riding on our shoulder. This beautiful bird flew down to me by the tennis courts at our village park in September 2025. When I put my finger out he climbed on, and we carried him home. My daughter named him Lily before we realised from his behaviour that he is most likely male. He flies around our house and also goes into his cage to eat and sleep. He likes to hang out on the shower head where he drinks from the drips, and is a fan of any shiny surface (hence the video of him singing to my mobile phone). He is accustomed to travelling with us in the car when we go to Cornwall for a week at a time. We are selling to simplify our lives as we have a new baby arriving in October. We have a large cage (97 cm tall x 47 cm wide by 39 cm deep) with food dishes, feed, cuttle bones, and toys and a hanging perch (made from a branch) which we can also offer - £220 total.
