Description
Benni is a beautiful pedigree sable show-type cocker spaniel with the sweetest nature. He is small to medium in size for the breed (approximately 11kg) and truly dinky, with a gentle, sensitive temperament.
He loves cuddles and is very people-oriented. Benni is the type of dog who will happily curl up beside you and follow you from room to room. He is a true shadow companion and thrives when he has company and reassurance throughout the day.
Benni has lived in a family home with children, a cat and chickens, and has been deeply loved. However, we have realised that his sensitive personality is best suited to a calmer household and one without toddlers or very young children, where life is a little slower paced and more predictable. (Just to note he is amazing with our children and any children he has come in contact with!)
Another reason for our decision is that we are downsizing significantly, and we would love Benni’s next home to offer him a safe, secure garden where he can potter, sniff and relax at his own pace.
Benni is 2.5 years old, a pedigree sable show-type cocker spaniel, house trained, affectionate and gentle. He is happiest with close companionship and is not suited to being left alone for long periods.
(Has been left for five hours at a time when had outings with our children and been happy sleeping in his bed!)
His ideal home would be with someone who is around most of the day, such as working from home, semi-retired or retired, in a calm household with a secure, enclosed garden. Experience with cocker spaniels or sensitive breeds would be a bonus.
This is an incredibly difficult decision and is being made purely with Benni’s long-term happiness in mind. We are in no rush and are committed to finding him the right forever home.
