Description

Having rehomed all of my earlier batch, am pleased to offer for sale, the second batch of my well-reared smooth shelled hatchlings from eggs laid by our own resident tortoises which are feeding well on a natural diet of wild plants(weeds) only and a calcium/vitamin supplement. These tortoises were hatched in late July and currently averaging 4.5 centimetres in plastron length. When fully grown, males will reach about 16 cms and females will reach around 20 cms in carapace length. Its impossible to determine the gender of young tortoises until they are 3-4 years old. Whilst young they will require a suitable lit and heated indoor habitat and at around 2 years old will require access to being outside ideally with a form of supplementary heating for cooler days and are best hibernated over the winter when older. Full and on-going husbandry advice is always available for new owners of these lovely little tortoises. Seller has 21 years experience of keeping/breeding Hermanns tortoises.
