Description
It is with a very heavy heart that we are looking for a new home for our beautiful Skye, a 2-year-old pedigree Cavalier King Charles Spaniel.
Skye is a purebred female from pedigree parents and is not spayed. We acquired her from a breeder only recently, and from the moment she arrived, she has been an absolute pleasure. She settled into our home incredibly quickly and has shown herself to be a gentle, happy and wonderfully well-mannered dog.
Unfortunately, our toddler has found the adjustment to having a dog at home much more difficult than we expected. After a lot of thought, we have realised that the situation is simply not working for our family. This is entirely due to our personal circumstances and has nothing to do with Skye's behaviour or temperament. We are genuinely very sad to let her go.
Skye is exceptionally well house-trained. She waits to go to the toilet during her walks and does not even use the garden. She walks nicely on the lead, travels comfortably in the car and is crate-trained, sleeping happily in her crate at night.
She has a lovely, gentle nature around children and is sociable and respectful with other dogs. She enjoys meeting people and adapts very quickly to new surroundings, which was clear from how easily she settled with us.
Skye is playful and loves chasing after a bone or toy, but she is equally happy relaxing and keeping you company.
She is perfectly capable of joining the family for a long walk and enjoys being out and about, but she does not require excessive amounts of exercise to be happy.
Skye is extremely affectionate and loves being close to her owners. She enjoys companionship, cuddles and simply being around the family. She is very sweet with children and has a naturally gentle and loving personality.
She is also a very quiet dog and does not bark unnecessarily, although she may bark to alert you when there is something to get your attention.
Skye follows instructions extremely well and has clearly had an excellent foundation of training. She would fit beautifully into a home looking for a dog who is already accustomed to everyday family life rather than a young puppy requiring extensive training.
As Skye has a pedigree and is not spayed, she may also be suitable for responsible breeding in the future, should her new owner wish to explore this, subject to appropriate health testing and veterinary advice.
Above all, Skye is a genuinely lovely little dog who wants to be close to her people, play, go for walks and receive plenty of cuddles. She has been wonderful with us, and we want to find her a permanent home where she will receive all the love and companionship she deserves.
Finding the right home for Skye is extremely important to us, so we welcome serious enquiries from anyone who feels they can offer her a loving and permanent home.
