Please help us find the home this beautiful boy has always deserved. At just 1 year old, Symba, a Presa Canario × Staffordshire Bull Terrier (mastiff mix), has already been passed from home to home three times through absolutely no fault of his own. It’s time for that cycle to end. Symba is a truly gentle soul with so much love to give. He’s: 🤎 Dog friendly 🤎 Cat friendly 🤎 Child friendly 🤎 Fully house trained 🤎 Crate trained since 8 weeks old 🤎 Microchipped 🤎 Vaccinated He is not yet neutered. Symba has no history of aggression or biting, and he has shown no guarding behaviours around food, toys or people. He has also shown no destructive behaviour in the home. He initially experienced some separation anxiety after all the changes in his life, but with consistency and reassurance he has overcome this and is now happy being left alone. We’re currently brushing up on his lead walking. He previously had excellent off-lead manners, but this wasn’t maintained in his last home, so we’re helping him rebuild those skills. The heartbreaking truth is that Symba keeps being overlooked because of his size. As a mastiff mix, he is a big, powerful boy, and when he’s excited he can sometimes forget just how large he is. But beneath that big frame is one of the sweetest, softest dogs you’ll ever meet. Symba is looking for an experienced large-breed home with someone who understands that rescue dogs don’t settle in three hours—they settle over three months. He needs a family who will be patient, continue his training where needed, provide clear boundaries, and give him the commitment he’s never truly had. If you can look beyond his size, you’ll find an incredibly loving, loyal companion who has done nothing but ask for someone to finally stay.
