Description

With a heavy heavy heart we are having to re home our border collie boy. We have had an incident where he has jumped up at the fence at a neighbour and caught her/bitten her (we’re not sure as it was a split second) causing her to bleed on the nose. I have also suffered a knee injury so had to put our training and walks to a halt meaning he just isn’t getting what he needs. He is so loving & lives with myself, my husband and our two toddlers of which he absolutely is absolutely devoted to and is immensely calm and gentle with them. I am absolutely devastated to have to be doing this but now he has caused injury and I can’t give him what he needs, I can’t risk that around my children now. We would love him to go to a farm, or somebody who has lots of land for him as he thrives in an open environment. We took him on holiday to a farm recently in wales and we have never seen him so happy and well behaved. He is nearly 16 months old, neutered, microchipped, flead and wormed, vaccinations are up to date. We have spent so much time and invested in him that I am truly heartbroken to have to do this but we don’t want his life to be cut short. What has happened with this incident is not an act of aggression, more excitement and pent up energy to see them over the fence resulting in an unfortunate collision. We just can’t risk that happening to one of our children that are smaller than him. Please only message if you are serious about him. We are in West Yorkshire UK. I do not want message with pure negativity regarding this decision. We have not made this lightly, and I really can’t explain how much I have sat and cried whilst writing this post. thank you. Rehoming fee is to ensure he is going to the right home. He comes with two full extra large bags of food, his bed, toys, bowls, treats, food storage boxes and treat boxes, leads, harness, ball thrower etc
