💙🐶Please don’t scroll :SCOUT – A Big-Hearted Young Lad Who Is Fading Behind Kennel Doors 🐶💙 🇬🇧🐾 UK SURRENDER 🐾🇬🇧 🏠 LOOKING FOR FOSTER / FOSTER-TO-ADOPT 🏠 📍 Kennels, Spalding PE12 🌟 SIGNIFICANTLY REDUCED ADOPTION FEE, RBU, post-adoption support & 4 weeks ******************Plan insurance provided upon adoption 🌟 🏠 He can go into foster first on a trial basis before the family commits to adoption. Adoption fee SIGNIFICANTLY reduced. The rescue is happy to provide for free one month of online professional behaviourist support for family committed to his training. Please don’t scroll. Please stop for a minute to read Scout’s story, and please share our plea for Scout. Scout has been in kennels for far too long—too long, and far too unfair. He is a victim of neglect and a lack of commitment from his first owners, who took on a small, funny puppy but made no effort to raise a well-balanced companion, to train him, or even to truly love him. They shut him alone, isolating him from people and from life. And when he grew big enough to become uncomfortable to live with, they surrendered him. We found him another home, but he was too much for them: a large, bouncy, untrained puppy, full of love but also full of mischief. He was returned. After a few more trials, he eventually ended up in kennels, where he has now been for many months. An amazing volunteer who goes into the kennels to help with dog walks and socialisation recently wrote: “Scout is to me, just absolutely adorable. He’s definitely the dog version of marmite though 😂 he’s not for everyone and that’s okay! He just needs to be everything to someone 🙏🏻❤️ I joke that Scout reminds me of the new superman dog Krypto! He’s wiry and a little unruly, he’s a bouncy and mischievous little scamp, and sadly the wrong people have come along and not been able to help Scout with his needs and only seen these qualities and his personality in a negative way rather than love him for who he is. Kennels is slowly destroying Scout that’s the truth. He fades there. He loses weight. He stops eating. He was raised in a home, loved, and now he doesn’t understand why he’s back behind bars again. 💔 He’s just a young lad who wants to belong somewhere… to someone. 💔 Please, we’re begging for a committed, dog-free foster home — even just for a few weeks — to give this young boy a lifeline.” 💙 Scout is a 1-year-old medium to large Labrador cross with a wiry coat and an oversized personality to match. He is full of bounce, affection, mischief and heart — a young boy who feels everything deeply and gives everything he has to the people he loves. ✨ Highlights ✨ • SIZE: Medium–large (approx. 24 kg) • NEUTERED: Yes • CHARACTER: Affectionate • Bouncy • Mischievous • Loyal • People-focused ❌ Cats - Reactive ❌ Dogs - Scout is extremely bouncy and boisterous and this has caused other dogs to feel unsettled in a home around him. Scout is not aggressive but is hyper energetic so we recommend as only dog for now. ❌ Children - Due to Scouts boisterous nature and mouthy behaviour we don’t recommend Scout is homed with young children currently. 🐾 More About Scout Scout is affectionate, playful and thrives on human connection. He loves cuddles, belly scratches, toys, and being involved. He is clever and quick to learn, but he needs consistency, calm guidance and someone who understands young, energetic dogs. What Scout struggles with most is being alone and being confined. He does not cope with kennel life, and repeated returns are taking a visible toll on him. He needs stability, presence, and a home where he can finally breathe. 🏡 What Scout Needs Now Scout urgently needs a committed, dog-free foster or foster-to-adopt home, even if only for a few weeks, to give him a lifeline. 🌟 Scout needs a home where someone will be there all the time for him due to his separation anxiety. He needs structure and training with those who have experience dealing with young overly energetic dogs. He needs people who can be around while he settles, who understand that big energy comes with a big heart, and who are willing to guide rather than punish. 🌟 Scout has no recall and no boundaries, whilst he has shown he’s quick to learn, this will need to be consistent training. He can jump and be mouthy which if you’re not able to deal with and help him will just lead to him going back and forth to the kennels. 🌟 Scout needs an active foster/owner who can dedicate the time to taking him on active walks and getting him out in a secure enclosed paddock where he can thrive and work on his training. 🌟 Unfortunately Scout proved too energetic and boisterous for the last resident dog and being back again in kennels he is now showing signs of reactivity to other dogs, so we recommend Scout be rehomed as an only dog for right now. I cannot emphasise enough how important it is to truly consider the specific needs of any dog before agreeing to foster/adopt. Scout is just a year old and has been through so much in his short life, any further stress, confusion and abandonment is detrimental and can lead to dogs developing fear and anxiety making rehoming and training that much harder. 💙 PLEASE HELP SCOUT TO FIND HIS HOME Scout is a young dog who wants to belong — to a place, to a person, to a life that doesn’t keep disappearing. If you can offer him the right foster or forever home, please get in touch. If you can’t foster but would like to help by supporting his kennel or vet care, or by sending him a toy or treats, the rescue would be incredibly grateful. 🩺 Health Information Scout is neutered, microchipped and vaccinated. He has been vet-checked and has no known ongoing medical issues. 💌 If you can offer foster or foster-to-adopt home, please fill out a form: 🔗 Foster-to-Adopt : https://forms.gle/vHdDRdjFzXngqzUC9 🔗 Foster Form: https://forms.gle/yE66hpgwdU9bnQsAA
