🌸 Meet Dove
Dove is a beautiful Shar Pei cross who came into our care needing a little extra TLC. When she arrived, she was underweight with flaky skin and sore eyes. Since then, she’s been seen by our vets. Dove is currently on eye drops daily which she may need long-term.
💛 Personality
Dove can be nervous when meeting new people and needs a little time to build trust. However, once she feels safe, her sweet and playful nature shines through. She loves toys, especially prancing around proudly with them.
She is extremely food-motivated (and not at all fussy!). If you come armed with treats, you’ll quickly win her over. In fact, we highly recommend bringing a pocket full when you come to meet her!
🐾 Other Dogs
Dove has shown mixed reactions to the dogs she has met here, she seems very interested but can be unsure. She has previously lived with other dogs. If you already have a dog, we would require multiple, careful introductions at the kennels to ensure everyone is happy and comfortable.
👨👩👧👦 Children & Other Animals
We feel Dove would be best suited to a home with children aged 10 years and over, who can understand her need for patience and space.
We are currently unsure how she would be around other animals.
Dove is looking for a calm, understanding home that will give her the time and reassurance she needs to truly thrive. With patience, kindness, and plenty of treats, Dove will make a wonderfully loyal and loving companion.
