Description
Meet Ada, a very sweet, gentle girl looking for a patient and understanding forever home. ❤️
Ada is a sensitive soul who can find the big wide world quite overwhelming. She much prefers the comfort and security of her home and garden, where she can relax and watch everything going on around her.
🌿 Ada absolutely loves the garden and spends lots of time there happily watching the children play.
🏡 She loves her crate and will happily sit in there watching the household around her. She has been fantastic with her house manners and has not messed in the house or her crate at all.
🤫 Ada is easily frightened by loud noises, fast movements and changes to her environment. She really struggles with change, even something as small as moving her crate to a different area, so she will need a home that can give her consistency, routine and time to settle.
🦮 Lead work and walks are a big challenge for Ada. She will go on the lead, but it currently scares her a lot and she is slowly being introduced to it at her own pace. She is also very nervous about going outside for walks. We have tried spending time in the front garden to help her get used to outside noises, but she finds this very frightening. Her new family will need to be prepared to take things very slowly and never push her beyond what she can cope with.
🐶 Ada absolutely loves other dogs! She has been wonderful with Karma and Jinnie and has also loved spending time with her father-in-law's dogs. Having a confident, friendly dog around may be something that really helps her feel more secure.
❤️ Ada is slowly building trust with her people. She will come over to her foster carer, their partner and one of the older children for a sniff and some fuss, but she isn't comfortable approaching other people yet.
Ada isn't going to be the dog who immediately runs up to everyone with her tail wagging. She needs someone who understands that trust takes time and who will celebrate the little steps along the way. Once she feels safe, we're sure her lovely personality will continue to shine through.
✨ Ada's ideal home would be:
• Calm, quiet and predictable
• Patient and experienced with nervous/sensitive dogs
• Willing to give her plenty of time to settle
• Understanding that walks and the outside world may take a long time
• A home where she won't be pressured into interactions
• Ideally with a friendly, well-matched resident dog
Ada has so much potential, but she needs someone willing to let her come out of her shell in her own time. She deserves a family who will see the frightened little girl underneath and give her the security and patience she needs to become the confident, happy dog we know she can be. 🥹❤️
