Place of Origin: Cordillera del Condor region of Peru.
Conservation Status: Critically Endangered in the wild

Notes: handle with care, they produce a defensive liquid from glands at the rear of the head which can be irritating to the skin and eyes

Notes: They can give quite a harsh nip using the spurs on the back legs when they feel threatened. The females will need a laying substrate

Note: The adults have a couple of defensive abilities, they can nip using their spiney back legs and they produce a defensive odor like sweet burned toffee when they feel threatened.
