Description
Kune Kune Piglets — Ready 4th April
We have a lovely litter of Kune Kune piglets, currently 4 weeks old and available from 8 weeks on 4th April. Raised alongside our dogs and goats from birth, they are already confident, sociable little characters — very much following in the footsteps of their exceptionally friendly parents.
All boars have been castrated, so there is absolutely no concern over boar taint — ideal for anyone wishing to keep a couple back for the table and make the most of Kune Kune’s well-deserved reputation for outstanding pork. Slow-grown and pasture-raised, Kune Kune meat is deep red, beautifully marbled, and often referred to as the Kobe beef of pork — rich, flavourful, and exceptional slow-roasted or cured.
These are fantastic smallholder pigs. Kune Kunes are natural grazers with upturned snouts, meaning they cause a fraction of the ground damage of most other breeds — your pasture will thank you. Being a smaller traditional breed, they eat proportionally to their size, so feed costs per kg of pig are no more expensive than larger breeds. They thrive on grass, garden scraps, and a little supplementary feed, making them genuinely economical and sustainable to keep.
