Benson, one of the musical pups, is a shy little lad, still learning that the world isn’t so scary – but give him time, patience, and kindness, and you’ll see his true personality blossom. He’s already showing signs of curiosity and affection at the shelter. At 10 months old, we are sure as he grows in confidence he will be a great companion
Because of his timid nature, Benson needs an adult-only home with experience and understanding. A calm environment will help him gain confidence, and a young, friendly resident dog is essential – he looks to canine companions for guidance, play, and comfort.
Benson will likely thrive in a home where his adopters are home much of the time, ready to gently support his journey into the big wide world. He will need ongoing socialisation, basic training, and lots of love – but the rewards of watching him grow into a happy, secure dog will be all worth it.
We find more shy puppies become more withdrawn if they grow up at the shelter with limited interaction, so we are keen to find him a home before this happens like it has to so many other pups 💔
