Description
It is with a very heavy heart that we have made the difficult decision to find a new home for our beloved dog, Walter.
Walter has just turned five years old, celebrating his birthday on 7th June 2026. He has been a much-loved member of our family, and this decision has not been made lightly. Sadly, due to changes in circumstances, he is being left at home alone more than we feel is fair to him. We believe he deserves a home where he can have the time, attention, and companionship that he thrives on.
When Walter was around 4 months old, we noticed that he kept limping. We took him to the vet for a consultation and X-rays, which revealed that he had suffered a fracture in his leg. He was referred to Grove Referrals in Fakenham, Norfolk, where he received specialist treatment. Walter now has a metal plate in his leg. It has never stopped him from enjoying life and does not affect him in any significant way. One of his feet turns out slightly when he walks, but other than that, he is a very healthy, happy dog.
We have all of Walter’s veterinary records, documents, and paperwork relating to his treatment, he is microchipped.
Walter is well trained, goes outside to the toilet, knows commands including sit, down, and bed, he will fetch a ball and bring it back.
He has good recall but can be a little challenging when he goes out for walks, he tends to pull through excitement and is obviously a strong dog. However, once he settles down, he walks more calmly.
Walter is affectionate, loyal, and full of personality. He deserves a family who can give him the love, exercise, and companionship he needs.
We are committed to finding the right home for him and would love to hear from anyone who feels they could offer Walter the happy future he deserves.
