Description
Koby is a border collie filled with love, affection and craziness! We have had him for little over a year.
He is crate trained, has fab recall, lead walking is okay but he can pull especially first part of walk as he’s just super excited. He is amazing with other dogs!
He’s great around kids too! Also toilet trained. He is registered at vets4pets at pets@home
Koby would be best suited to someone who has border collie experience and can continue with some training, would be find with another dog but we’d really like someone with no kids as he needs 100% commitment and time of day. We have 2 girls under 4 and he just isn’t getting what he deserves. Also someone who works from home or isn’t going to be away from home for long periods of times, as he can bark while alone.
He is chipped, up to date on all vaccinations, has flea and wormer regularly (I can send this away with him)
He hasn’t been snipped.
He has had one prior emergency surgery on his side as he got caught on a barb wired fence and pulled himself off. There was no complications with surgery and he is fully healed!
He loves a lick mat and puzzle toy! A tennis ball is his favourite although you’ll need to stock up as he likes a chew! Soft toys are a no unless you want to be cleaning stuffing up for days haha! Rope toys are another of his favourites.
He eats wet and dry food, he doesn’t get an upset stomach from switching brands, but he prefers pedigree or asdas own! He loves a long lasting bone, and any treat will be scoffed!
He is definitely a companion, and I’m utterly heartbroken to have to rehome him, but this is in his best interest. I don’t have the time I thought I’d have for him and it’s not fair on him at all! He is the best dog but does need some work too and I’m not going to sugar coat it.
If you have guests coming over, Koby gets very over excited, he jumps constantly and won’t leave them alone. (We were about to have a trainer start to help with this)
As much as he’s a great walker, he herds the pram, so again why we think someone with no kids would be more suited!
He is an early riser, he will bark from about 6/6:30am and that’s the wake up call for the day! He does like to dig holes in the garden, and chew plants. Very very occasionally he will get himself into some trouble by chewing a charging cable! (Even if it’s what you think is out of his reach!!)
These are little niggles I think the right person could definitely iron them out.
He will go away with, bowls, food, crate if wanted, blankets, toy basket, toys, lead, brush, lick mat/puzzle toy, shampoo, flea/wormer tablets.
If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
