Description
Lovely Susie, rescued after being abandoned in Crete. Thrown onto the streets, unwanted.
She is the ideal size, not much bigger than a Whippet.
Suzie has been in foster for a week and has settled easily into her foster home, living with 2 other dogs.
Suzie is an affectionate girl who enjoys a cuddle on the sofa. She loves her walks and is excited to have her harness and lead put on. She travels well in the van and happily jumps in for her walkies.
She pulls a little on her lead out of excitement but is easily controlled as she is very slight and only weighs 15kg. We have been letting her off lead on a long line and she has a good recall as she loves a treat. However she is a scent hound and follows her nose so can be easily distracted, but it is early days, so some recall training and she will be a great walking buddy.
She is comfortable other dogs and has started to play with them. She sometimes barks at dogs from a distance but is polite when introduced.
She sleeps in her bed upstairs and is clean in the house.
Suzie has been left alone with other dogs for a couple of hours and she is absolutely fine.
Suzie is a very sweet, affectionate little dog and will be a wonderful companion. She loves her food and sits nicely waiting for a treat.
She will suit a quiet household as she can be wary of strangers, this will pass with time and a new family to help her adjust to a busier life in the UK. Susie is still a young girl, who loves her walks.
She would settle easier with another dog as she does follow my dogs and has started to play with them.
