Description
Pedro is looking for a new home due to no fault of his own (unforeseen change in circumstances.)
Pedro is a very loyal, sensitive, lovable boy who needs an experienced person/s to take him on and give him the love attention and most of all confidence he needs and deserves!
Pedro can get excited especially around people who he loves (jumps up but we've been working on this and he's improving, although isn't quite there yet with everyone)
PEDRO CANNOT BE HOUSED WITH CHILDREN! This is due to a few incidents he's had with children running him over on bikes, he will; lunge, bark, growl, snarl and I wouldn't be surprised if in the wrong hands/environment would bite a child.
Pedro has good recall and loves a run on the beach but equally loves a run in a field with his ball.
Pedro gets anxious going to the vets so he does need to be muzzled and is on a chilled protocol where he's given sedation medication 2 hours before going to the vets for treatment.
Bathing is something Pedro struggles with as well so it's suggested to muzzle him and take him to a reliable trustworthy groomer to build a good relationship with gradually so he can build confidence around this
As common for collies Pedro hates having his legs touched and can display fear anxiety around this and will bite if not respectful of his boundaries.
Although Pedro can be a complex dog he absolutely makes up for it in his loveable energy and sensitivity to how people are feeling.
