🏡 Looking for a new home – Fell Pony mares 🐴
Due to a change in direction with our breeding herd, we are looking for a suitable new home for Guards Lucy and Guards Molly, aged 19 and 20.
Lucy and Molly joined us two years ago from a fell-running herd, with the hope that they would become the foundation mares for our own Fell Pony herd. Unfortunately, neither mare has bred for us, and with their age we have made the difficult decision to bring some younger blood into our developing herd.
Both mares are semi-feral and are not ridden or handled like domesticated ponies, so we would like them to go somewhere experienced with this type of pony. However, they are sensible and quiet to move, and we have successfully loaded and travelled them without issue.
They would be particularly well suited to conservation grazing, where their hardiness, native breeding and ability to thrive on extensive grazing make them ideal.
They have spent their lives living naturally in a herd environment and we would love to find them a knowledgeable home where they can continue to do just that.
Genuine, suitable homes only. We are much more concerned about finding the right situation for these two lovely old girls than simply finding them somewhere to go.
