Description
Wally is one of 33 Brittanys who were kept together on a piece of land and used for hunting and showing. When the land was put up for sale and the dogs needed to be moved on, one of the shelters we work with stepped in to get as many of them out as possible before they ended up in the hands of other hunters. Initially, TSPP with a couple of other rescues were able to help 17 of the dogs, but sadly, the hunter wouldn’t give us the other dogs at the time. A little further down the line, we were asked to help another eight of the Brittanys. We quickly agreed knowing we didn’t want to risk losing the chance to help them again. Sadly, that number dropped to seven and then in the end was just four. Thankfully, those four have now made it to the shelter and have the chance of a much better life, just like they have always deserved.
Wally is a really lovely energetic and lively boy who loves to run around in the enclosed area at the shelter. He gets on well with the other dogs he has met at the shelter and is very affectionate with people and becomes more affectionate once he gets to know you. He can live with older children and can be cat tested for the right home.
