Description

Roy is an 18-month-old Border Collie who has recently started working sheep. He’s a nice, natural dog with an easy-going temperament, plenty of willingness to please, and absolutely no malice in him. He’s still young and at the beginning of his training, making him an ideal prospect for someone who wants to put their own stamp on a dog and continue developing his skills. With time and consistency, he has the potential to make a very useful working dog. Roy has also been brought up around children and has a kind, sensible nature, so he could equally make a fantastic family pet in the right home. His father (pictured) is one of our own dogs and has proved himself to be an excellent working dog, regularly gathering sheep on the fells. Roy has inherited many of the same natural qualities and has every opportunity to develop into a capable worker. This is a genuine sale only because he’s not quite the type of dog we’re looking to keep. He deserves a home where someone has the time to continue his training and help him reach his potential.
