Description
Adopted from a shelter after she was found as a puppy in the street when we were living in Los Angeles. Sadly rehoming after move to London due to change in family circumstances.
PERSONALITY
Potato Chip is sweet, joyful, loving, goofy, friendly, and smart. She's very relaxed at home with us, and she gets incredibly excited when friends visit. She's good with older children but may be a bit too rambunctious for very young kids. She absolutely adores dogs, so we would strongly prefer to place her in a home with at least one other dog. She attends daycare/boarding regularly and loves every minute of it. She hasn't been around cats, but we wouldn't recommend that she live with one due to her prey drive.
ACTIVITY
Potato Chip generally prefers getting belly rubs and observing the outside world through our windows to playing, but she does enjoy tug games and playing with her tennis ball/soft toys.
DIET
Potato Chip currently eats Purina Pro Plan Medium Sensitive Digestion lamb kibble and Scrumbles Softies salmon treats. She has a bit of a sensitive stomach, so we avoid giving her table scraps and recommend introducing any new foods gradually.
REQUIREMENTS
Potato Chip has separation anxiety and would benefit from having someone at home most of the time. We've been working on this and can currently leave her alone for around 2 hours, but this should continue to improve with training. We also feel that she would be fine if left with another dog.
She has been walked off-leash with a group of dogs at daycare, but we always walk her on-leash due to her interest in small animals and limited recall.
She generally walks well on leash, but she gets very excited when she sees other dogs and will sometimes pull/lunge/vocalize due to her strong desire to greet them. We've been working on this and believe it will improve with additional training.
She is typically very sweet and calm at home but can be anxious in certain situations (e.g., on walks at night/in very busy areas, when getting injections/blood drawn at the vet).
DONATIONS
We are asking for a £250 donation, which we will pass on to a local rescue charity. We also want to note that we have many items which we can provide to help Potato Chip get settled in her new home (food, medication, toys, bed, car crate, security cameras, training guide, etc.).
