Description

❤️🐶 GLORIA – A BEAUTIFUL, LOYAL GIRL DREAMING OF A LIFE BEYOND THE CITY 🐶❤️ 📍 Currently located: London W4 🌟 RBU, post-adoption support & 4 weeks insurance provided upon adoption (on request) 🌟 🔄 UPDATE – GLORIA NEEDS A DIFFERENT KIND OF LIFE ❤️ Nine months ago, Gloria arrived in the UK and joined a loving family who have worked a lot to help her settle, build confidence and enjoy her new life. They love her dearly, and deciding to find her another home has been heartbreaking. But they have come to realise that Gloria simply isn't suited to busy city living. The constant encounters with unfamiliar dogs and people, traffic, noise and unpredictable situations have become increasingly difficult for her to cope with. Her family believes she would be much happier in a quieter, rural environment, with space to explore, enjoy nature and continue building her confidence. And there is something particularly important about Gloria: SHE ABSOLUTELY LOVES OTHER DOGS when can interact freely! ❤️🐕 🐾 Meet Gloria Gloria is a beautiful, nearly 2-year-old, low-mediumto medium (on photos looks bigger) girl with a loyal heart, an intelligent mind and plenty of energy for outdoor adventures. She is affectionate and devoted to her people, eager to learn and happiest when she has opportunities to explore, exercise and enjoy life alongside someone she trusts. ✨ Highlights ✨ • SIZE: Low Side Of Medium – approx. 50 cm / 17 kg • SPAYED: Yes • CHARACTER: Loyal • Affectionate • Intelligent • Active • Eager to learn • DOGS: Loves playing with dogs once comfortable; can initially react defensively, particularly on lead • CATS: Not tested • CHILDREN: Adult home • HOME LIFE: Fully house-trained • Sleeps on the sofa • Has always had human company • WALKS: Loves long, energetic walks; needs support with lead reactivity and managing encounters 🐾 More About Gloria Gloria is a clever girl who already knows basic commands and enjoys learning. She has lived in a family home with a garden, is fully house-trained and has formed a strong bond with her people. Her favourite activity? PLAYING WITH OTHER DOGS! 🐕❤️ Her family explains that when Gloria feels comfortable with another dog, she is playful, happy and thoroughly enjoys their company. However, initial encounters can be difficult. On a lead she may react strongly and defensively towards unfamiliar dogs, particularly in busy environments where she has little space to move away. Her reactions towards people and dogs on city walks have become a serious concern, and her family has had to restrict her interactions to keep everyone safe. Gloria needs a person with some previous experience, who understands leash-reactivity of not confident dogs, can read canine body language, we will be happy to advice a qualified, positive-reinforcement behaviourist if his support will be useful. Her love of other dogs gives us hope that, with the right guidance, careful introductions and a suitable environment, she can enjoy those friendships again. 🏡 Ideal Home We are looking for a new home for Gloria, preferably in the countryside or a quiet rural area, away from the constant pressures of city life. Her ideal family would offer a secure garden, access to quiet countryside walks, plenty of physical and mental activity, and the patience to continue her training. Understanding the rescue dogs, particularly those who has lack of confidence in unfamiliar outside environment and leash reactivity, is essential. A calm and confident medium resident dog could potentially be a wonderful companion. Gloria needs an adult home, with people who can provide consistent routines. She has never been accustomed to being left alone, so a home with someone around most of the time would be preferable. And while Gloria would love opportunities to run and play, off-lead freedom must initially be limited to securely enclosed areas until her behaviour, recall and safety can be properly assessed. 💞 Gloria's family has given her nine months of love, patience and care. They have helped her take important steps forward, and now they are hoping someone with the right experience and surroundings can help her take the next ones. We believe there is a different life waiting for Gloria. A life with peaceful countryside walks, interesting adventures, canine friendships built at her own pace, and a person who understands her. Somewhere, there may be someone who looks at Gloria and sees the beautiful, loyal companion she can become with the right support. ❤️🐾 🩺 Health Information Gloria is spayed, vaccinated and microchipped, with no known medical conditions. Veterinary records are available. All dogs are C.Brucella tested before travel (approved laboratory certificate provided). 💌 If you can offer home, please fill out a form: 🔗 Foster-to-Adopt/Adoption Form : https://forms.gle/vHdDRdjFzXngqzUC9
