Description
Lucy is a super sweet, very playful and very inquisitive 9 month old who is totally blind. She may not be able to see but her hearing is bionic! She loves listening to the birds and noises. She will love to snuggle right up to you to make sure she's touching you when she sleeps. She’s still young and can sometimes give a little nip when she’s playing or excited, but we expect this to stop when she becomes settled. She has had a crazy few months with her operation to sew her eyes up and travel to different foster homes. Currently she’s untested with dogs, but with slow intros she would be open to it.
Lucy was originally rescued from Tunisia as the tiniest kitten, around 6 weeks old, spotted in the middle of a road as a motorbike narrowly missed her.
A Holidaymaker saw this happen and quickly grabbed her to get her out of harm’s way. As she scooped Lucy up she saw that Lucy had no eyes, just empty eye sockets.
Emmalee pledged there and then not to leave her on the streets and travelled back out to Tunisia to bring Lucy to the UK, despite knowing she couldn’t keep Lucy herself because she already has a house full of dogs. So we’re looking for the most wonderful home for this little sweetie who has been through so much already in her short life.
Lucy has been vaccinated, spayed, microchipped and has followed all the entry protocol to enter the UK. She has also been tested for Toxoplasmosis and is negative. She recently had an operation in the UK to sew up her empty eye sockets and is recovering really well from that.
