We are truly hoping that Marley’s time has finally come....
Marley was born on 03/06/2020 — and he has been waiting in shelter care for more than five years now, so sad...
Almost his entire life. From puppyhood… to now.
It is heartbreaking to realise what that means:
day after day in a kennel, with so little to look forward to.
Watching so many friends leave…
and him staying behind.
And yet Marley is such a beautiful, gentle boy — it is genuinely hard to understand why he has been overlooked for so long.
💛 Marley’s Personality: a True “Will to Please”
Marley has a strong will to please.
He wants to do well. He wants to cooperate. He wants to make you happy.
But how can a dog truly show you who he is…
when he spends most of his life behind kennel bars?
He simply hasn’t been given the chance.
🌿 His Little “Beauty Mark”:
As a youngster, one of Marley’s eyes was slightly damaged during play. It was treated properly and causes him no pain and no limitations.
Today it is simply a tiny “beauty mark” — and honestly, it makes him unforgettable.
When he looks at you… you melt. There is something so soft and touching in his gaze.
🐾 The Home Marley Needs:
Marley doesn’t need perfection.
He doesn’t need people with big expectations.
He needs people who will value him exactly as he is — and who will embrace the small steps, patiently and lovingly, while walking the rest of his life-path together… step by step.
For Marley we are looking for:
A calm, loving home (no small children, as that may be overwhelming)
A secure, dog-proof garden with 6 ft fencing, so he can finally feel the sun on his little head, smell the grass, and simply be...
People who look forward to gentle moments together: bonding, playing, relaxing, learning
He is already doing very well walking on leash at the shelter grounds. With a real home, a safe garden and regular practice, those walks can become something truly joyful — little adventures with his own family.
Marley is ok with other dogs. Buth for him the loving present of humans can absolutely be enough, he wants to belong.
More than five years is far too long.
He was rescued with hope… and now he is waiting for that hope to finally become real.

Adrian and the team at Friends inDEED have been wonderful. We were able to go meet our dog with her sisters and we were in frequent communication during the adoption, and since with updates etc. We were also provided with some food, and lent a harness & lead to bring her home. She has already been incredibly well trained for a rescue dog as we have had no toilet accidents and she is already wonderful on her lead.
