Description
Imagine being so close to love and safety… and then having it all taken away.
This is Rex’s tragic story.
Rex is around 6 years old and he is an absolute sweetheart. A friendly, affectionate mixed-breed boy who loves being around people and thrives on attention. He walks nicely on the lead, however his recall is unknown, has no history of biting or guarding issues, and is dog-friendly — happy and relaxed with his canine buddies. Although hes great with dogs we have no knowledge of him being cat tested. Everyone who’s met him describes him as a genuinely lovely, steady lad who just wants love ❤️
He’s the kind of dog who should be curled up in someone’s home, not wondering what happens next. 💔
Rex was safe with a devoted UK rescuer called John, a man who gave his world to saving dogs. With John, Rex had protection. Stability. A future.
Then John tragically passed away.
And just like that, Rex lost the one person who promised he’d be safe.
We’ve spoken to people who knew him and gathered as much information as we possibly can, but because of the heartbreaking circumstances, we don’t have his full history.
What we do know is that he is now desperate for someone to step into the space John left behind.
Here is your chance to change his ending.
To give this loving boy the life he almost had.
To honour a man who dedicated his life to rescue, and to make sure Rex doesn’t lose everything twice.
He was so close.
Let’s finish what John started. 🐾
