Sadly we are having to rehome our lovely boys. This is due to our work commitments & having a young child meaning we do not have the time to look after them properly.
We have had the boys for just over 7 years, they have lived outside in their 2 story hutch with thermal cover. They play out quite often & have free roaming of our secure garden. They love running about, playing in their tunnel & generally enjoying the garden in nice weather. They do also like the snow too.
Even though we have had the boys for all these years, go out to them daily, out in the garden with them, they do seem to be quite unsociable & do not like being picked up. They will happily come to you if they want, they will take food from your hands when offered - the brown rabbit (Socks), loves bananas!
Unfortunately the hutch they are in (photo in the gallery), will not be going with them, so they will need a new set up. We tend to get them a new hutch every 2 years due to it being weathered, chewed etc & we also purchase a new cover at the same time. They do have 2 microwaveable heat mats which they have in their bedroom when the temperature drop to the minus figures over winter & they are incredibly fluffy.
Due to the size of them, they do require a double hutch (similar to the one pictured), this is to ensure the 3 hop rule & so they can stand on their back legs & stretch up without being too confined.
They also need to go together as they have always been together. Separating them is not an option I’m afraid.
Going with them would be any good we have as we buy in 5kg bags. Their heat mats & their play tunnel for the garden in spring/ summer. Their hutch will not be provided.
