Description

🌿 FREYA 🌿 Saved from traffic - now waiting for her forever safety 🐾 FREYA at a Glance Name : FREYA Estimated age : approximately 2–3 years (based on teeth condition and overall presentation) Sex : Female Weight : 19 kg Size Medium Breed type (best guess) : German Shepherd mix – possibly Shepherd x Collie or Shepherd x Nordic type Vaccination/Spay status Will be fully vaccinated and spayed prior to adoption 💛 Her Story Freya is alive because someone stopped. She was found in the middle of a very busy city road. No one knows how she ended up there. Given the circumstances, it is highly likely she was deliberately abandoned. Traffic was constant. Fast. Relentless. Another hour, perhaps less, and she would almost certainly have been killed. Instead, she was saved. Freya is now safe in our indirect care and will be ready for adoption in approximately one month, once her vaccination schedule is complete and she has been spayed. 🌼 Personality & Temperament • Initially reserved with unfamiliar people – she observes before committing • Once comfortable, she is affectionate and warm • Very friendly with other dogs • Balanced energy – not hyperactive, not flat • Sensitive and intelligent – she reads people well Freya shows the typical traits of a shepherd-type mix: intelligent, loyal, observant and responsive. She is not pushy or demanding. She takes a moment to assess new situations, which is entirely understandable given her recent experience. Her body language is soft and thoughtful. She is neither reactive nor chaotic. She simply needs a little time to feel secure. 🩺 Health Freya weighs 19 kg and is in good physical condition. Her teeth are clean with minimal wear and tartar, supporting an estimated age of approximately 2–3 years. She will be: • Fully vaccinated before adoption • Spayed prior to travel/adoption • Microchipped • Treated for parasites as required 🏡 FREYA’s Ideal Home • A home where she is a true family companion – not an ‘outside dog’ and not a ‘sometimes’ pet • Adopters who are around for much of the day (or can arrange reliable support) – she is not suited to long hours alone • A calm, consistent routine with kind training and appropriate boundaries • Daily enrichment: structured walks, mental stimulation, and decompression time • Secure garden preferred (not essential) and a commitment to safe lead walking 🤝 Our Promise & Your Commitment We are looking for genuine, committed adopters who understand that rescue dogs deserve stability for life. Freya has already experienced abandonment. She must not be passed around, ‘trialled’ casually, or treated as a short-term option. By applying for Freya, you are confirming that you are ready to: • Provide lifelong care (this is a 10–15+ year commitment) • Use reward-based training only (no harsh handling, intimidation, or punishment tools) • Keep her safe: secure doors/gates, ID tag, and sensible lead management • Continue her veterinary care and follow all medical guidance • Stay in touch with us post-adoption so we can support you and celebrate her progress Please only enquire if you are serious and ready to proceed. We do not entertain time-wasters, impulse enquiries, or applicants who are not able to complete the process. 💌 Friends InDeed Dog Rescue – Adoption Information • Home-checks apply (this may be via video call depending on location). • Genuine dog lovers only – our dogs are family companions, not guard dogs, status symbols, or ******************s. • Post-adoption support is always available – we stay in touch and help you succeed. • Adoption fees vary and help cover rescue and veterinary costs. • References may be requested. • Serious enquiries only, please. If you are not ready to adopt, kindly do not apply at this time. 📩 Contact Us If you feel Freya could be the one for you, please message us with: • Your location • Household details (adults/children ages) • Any resident pets • Working hours / time alone plan • Garden/fencing details (if applicable) • A brief description of your dog experience and lifestyle We will respond as soon as we can. Adrian and the team at Friends inDEED have been wonderful. We were able to go meet our dog with her sisters and we were in frequent communication during the adoption, and since with updates etc. We were also provided with some food, and lent a harness & lead to bring her home. She has already been incredibly well trained for a rescue dog as we have had no toilet accidents and she is already wonderful on her lead.
