Sydney is a gorgeous, happy, and incredibly sweet young boy who is looking for a slower pace of life as a cherished family pet. He was given to us as a young pup and was not bred by us. He was originally intended to be a working sheepdog for a shepherd, but we have noticed that as he has grown and become more active, his front legs tend to cross over when he moves. Because a working farm dog faces long hours of intense physical work, we feel it is only fair to Sydney that he doesn't go into a full-time working career. Instead, we want him to find a wonderful, caring home where he can enjoy regular pet walks, plenty of affection. He hasn’t been formally evaluated by a vet for this yet, so a new owner may wish to have a check-up done just to get professional guidance on managing his exercise as he fully matures. Sydney will make an amazing companion for someone who loves the intelligence and loyal nature of Collies but doesn't need a high-intensity working trials or farm dog. He needs a home that will keep him mentally stimulated but physically comfortable, ensuring he isn't overworked. Sydney currently lives outside in a kennel therefore he would need house training.
