Description
We are looking to find a new forever home for Digby, our beloved 5 year old border collie (male, neutered).
He's a big, handsome and bouncy lad, but we have sadly had to decide to help him find someone else who can give him the attention that he needs due to a change in our circumstances as we have recently had new dogs and he isn't coping well.
Digby would make a perfect and loyal guard dog, or could potentially be trained as a working dog. He can respond to some commands and is a big fusspot who likes a stroke on his terms with a strong male human that he can bond with.
He has come from a multi-dog home but he would only be suitable in a one animal home (no other dogs or cats as he can be very reactive).
He also needs to be in a calm home environment without children as he can get overexcited and react badly to noises and lights, and can also get a bit nippy and has bitten when stressed. He needs love and understanding from the right person.
He walks okay on the short lead (Halti and muzzle) but will get stressed at vehicles and other animals, and loves being free off-lead in fields or on the beach. He travels well in the boot of a car if secured.
It will take him some time to settle before he relaxes and bonds but I think he has a lot to give to the right person who understands his needs.
