Description
Thomas, as his foster carer calls him, is 9 months old and arrived on 9th February. He did not have the best start in life, but he has settled in very well and has grown in confidence each day.
Thomas is very affectionate and loves cuddles, especially when he is rolled onto his back for tummy rubs. He is clean in the house and can be left for 3–4 hours with his foster carer’s own dogs without any problems. He always gives a wonderful, happy greeting when his foster carer returns home.
He gets on well with other dogs, loves to run and play, and is extremely friendly. At home, he may bark initially when new people arrive, but he settles quickly. He shows good awareness and will learn quickly with training.
His foster carer feels he would enjoy having a canine companion, although it is not essential. He has been very quick to learn, took to walking on a lead well, and can now be let off lead during walks. His recall is excellent, especially considering he has not been in foster care for long.
Thomas has formed a strong bond with his foster carer and will make a very loyal and loving companion.
His Story
He was found in countryside fields, starving and very poorly. A local woman alerted our volunteer who immediately took him to the vets. He is now fighting fit and waiting for his forever home.
