💔 Nine years is a long time to wait for a happy ending... 💔 🐶❤️ FOSTERED IN EDINBURGH ❤️🐶 Meet Duke 🐾 At 9 years old, Duke has spent far too much of his life in Romanian shelters. He missed out on the love, comfort and security that every dog deserves, but now he's safe in foster care and waiting for the one thing he's never had... a forever family. Duke is a gentle, shy old gentleman with the kindest soul. Although he was understandably nervous at first, he's settled beautifully into home life. He's clean in the house, lives happily with cats and has shown just what an easy, lovable companion he can be. Duke would love a quiet home where he can continue to build his confidence. We think he'd really benefit from having a calm resident dog to show him the ropes and help him feel secure. Walks are one of his favourite things. He's lovely on the lead, enjoys exploring parks and woodland, and even likes a little paddle in the water! Busy roads and traffic can worry him, so a quieter location would suit him best. One of the sweetest things about Duke is how much he loves seeing other dogs. His tail starts wagging the moment he spots one, and it's impossible not to smile. He enjoys his meals, never says no to a tasty treat (especially after a walk!), and quietly follows his foster family around the house with his tail gently wagging, simply happy to be close to his people. Duke isn't asking for much. Just a peaceful home, a comfy bed and someone to love him for the rest of his days.
