Meet Meadow 💕 — a beautiful, big-hearted girl who may weigh over 40kg, but in her mind, she’s definitely a princess! At just 2 years old, Meadow is still a young girl with so much love, enthusiasm and personality to give. She is an excitable, affectionate girl who absolutely adores her people and is always eager to please. She loves being out and about, exploring and enjoying life, but there’s nothing she enjoys more than coming home afterwards for some well earned cuddles. And, of course, Meadow is a girl who knows what she wants, especially when it comes to treats! 🍖 She already knows her “sit” and “wait” commands and, when her people give her clear boundaries and guidance, she really does thrive. Once she understands what is expected of her, she is keen to please and picks up new training incredibly quickly. She’s a very clever girl, although she does still enjoy a little mischief from time to time! Meadow is currently enjoying life in her foster home in Edinburgh, where she is happily sharing her home with another large dog. She has shown that she can build lovely friendships with other dogs, but introductions need to be handled slowly and thoughtfully as she can sometimes become overwhelmed and protective of her space. Her foster family have found that parallel walking has been the key to helping Meadow feel comfortable around other dogs. Giving her the time and space to build trust in a neutral environment has made such a wonderful difference, and it’s helped her develop a really lovely relationship with her resident dog. Meadow walks perfectly on the lead and is distracted easily with treats. Meadow also loves her toys and is learning that sharing is a very important part of being a good girl! She’s playful, affectionate, intelligent and full of personality, and beneath that gorgeous face is a girl who is simply waiting for someone to show her that she is safe, loved and finally home. ❤️ Meadow really is a special girl. She has so much potential and so much love to give, and we would love nothing more than to see her find the forever family she deserves.
