We’ve had these two lovely guinea pigs since September last year, and they have been a part of our family ever since. ❤️ Unfortunately, it has turned out that my daughter is allergic to hay. She has been having ongoing problems with infected, pus-filled eyes, and we’ve had to make several trips to the GP for antibiotics.
Over the past year, I’ve also realised that I simply don’t have enough time to give the guinea pigs the care, attention and interaction they truly deserve. 🥺 It’s not an easy decision at all, but I feel that finding them a loving new home is the most responsible thing I can do for them.
I’m therefore looking to rehome them, together with all their equipment, to a kind and responsible family who has the time and love to give them the best possible home. ❤️
They are two boys. One has longer hair — he’s absolutely wonderful, loves licking fingers and always comes over to greet us at the cage. 🙂 The other one is short-haired and looks like a little mix between a capybara and a squirrel. 🥰
They are both very sweet, friendly, don’t bite and get along really well with each other. They are genuinely lovely little characters — they just need more time and attention than I’m currently able to give them.
The constant trips to the GP with my daughter, the antibiotics and the worry about her eyes have also become increasingly exhausting for me. I don’t want the guinea pigs to miss out on the care and attention they deserve because I simply don’t have enough time.

I’m not looking to give them away to just anyone — I really want to make sure they go to someone responsible who understands what guinea pigs need and will give them the care they deserve.
Please don’t judge. 🥺 This is not an easy decision for us, especially after having them since September last year. I’m only trying to do what I feel is best for my daughter and, most importantly, for the guinea pigs. ❤️
They will only go together, as they are bonded. ❤️
