This is my bronze wing pionus femaled, dna sexted. Her name is Kinnie but ahe doesnt respond to her name same wouldnt be an issue to change it. She was parent raised and not hand tamed when i got her.
Shes timid but its so easy to read her body language ive never been bitten by her
Since ive had her ive got her eat from my hand. She perches on my hand when it suits her, she will come out the cage but she stays on it and doesnt really venture from there.
Shes incredibly quiet for a parrot mostly shes silent or making softer noises so if you dont want the racket that comes with owning a bird, a pionus is the one, that being said she can do a contact call occasionally which is pretty loud.
She eats fruit and veg and pellets as her diet and seeds and nuts for her treats.
I live alone now and work long hours and with busy weekends shes not getting the attention she deserves.
With a little time and effort in training her after she settles in with a knew family she will really flourish.
