Gemmie is a one-year-old lower-medium (below the knee) girl, full of sparkle, confidence and joy. She’s the kind of dog who walks into a room and instantly makes her presence known — tail wagging, eyes shining, ready to be part of absolutely everything. Found alone in an abandoned house, Gemmie didn’t let her past dim her spirit. Instead, she chose life, people and fun — and she gives all three with her whole heart.

Gemmie was found completely by chance in an abandoned building — alone, but not broken. From the moment she was safe, her personality burst out in full colour. She quickly adapted to home life and showed everyone exactly who she is: a joyful, energetic girl who believes every person is a friend she just hasn’t hugged yet.

Gemmie is wonderfully bold and affectionate. She runs up to new people as if she’s known them forever, often trying to climb into laps or wrap herself around legs in excitement. She absolutely adores human contact — cuddles, play, attention — and scores a full 10/10 for wanting to be close to her people.
She’s very active and playful, loves zooming around, chasing, and being “first at everything.” With clear boundaries and calm guidance, she listens well and learns quickly — she just needs someone who enjoys an enthusiastic young dog and is happy to channel that energy positively.
She gets on brilliantly with other dogs and would love a home where playtime, walks and interaction are part of daily life.

Gemmie will thrive in an active home that enjoys walks, play and engagement. She’d suit a family with older children (8+) who understand that excited dogs can jump when happy. Another friendly dog would be a bonus, but she’d also be content as the centre of attention in a busy, loving household.
